Sculpture

Matter, materia prima, is both a vessel and a principle for understanding reality. It is our special link to the living world, capable of transforming our relationship with the world by reconnecting us with what is most precious within us: the sacred.

 

​​​​​​I have always been fascinated by wood, which we consider dead, yet which continues to live, albeit in a different way. Nor is stone inert. Nothing in matter is ever neutral or insignificant. Behind the appearance of all things, we can access an imaginal* and symbolic world filled with meaning and poetry.
