Artistic approach
Exploring the powers contained within matter, Benoît Grunewald seeks to reveal its invisible part: that silent energy which connects us to the living. The loss of this primal link in the digital age offers us the possibility of being reborn to ourselves by reinvesting our humanity.
Drawing inspiration from the raw beauty of our surroundings, he questions its apparent banality, its precariousness, and our own fragility. Born from an intimate dialogue between nature and spirit, his creations rely on this tenuous link capable of revealing us to ourselves.
The viewer no longer merely looks; through the vibration and memory of the elements, they perceive the echo of their own nature. The work then becomes a mirror and a passage, a silent prayer addressed to that which surpasses us.

Biography
As a young man, Benoît G. dreamed of becoming a photographer or film director. Prevented from pursuing this path, he turned towards the emancipation of young people through teaching, while nurturing his passion for the image.
In 2018, he discovered an enchanting river corner sullied by refuse. The emotion felt before this stained 'tableau' was the triggering element. Compelled by an urgent necessity to restore the site to its original beauty, he began cleaning it and discovered true treasures: pieces of wood that appeared dead.
He created his first installations in 2023, reconnecting on the occasion with the creative photography he had left fallow since his adolescence. Since then, he has pursued his research on our relationship to the real and the invisible, driven by an intense desire to conquer his true identity.
